Cervinia

Cervinia is a resort that never stops surprising. Freeride

Cervinia’s terrain is a massive playground for freeride. The groomed runs already offer significant pitch and wide-open spaces, but the real magic happens off-piste: couloirs, powder bowls, and north-facing open faces accessible from the upper lifts. The link with Zermatt opens further possibilities — high-alpine terrain that holds powder long after a storm. Always carry full avalanche safety gear and, if you don’t know the terrain, hire a local mountain guide.

Getting There

Reaching Cervinia is straightforward. By car, take the A5 motorway from Turin to Aosta, then follow the SR46 up the Valtournenche valley. By public transport, the most convenient train station is Châtillon-Saint-Vincent (35km away), with shuttle buses connecting to the resort. Seasonal direct buses from Turin are also available. Accommodation ranges from solid 3-star hotels to luxury chalets with views of the Matterhorn — a sight that never gets old.
