Splitboard Italia

Splitboard Italia is the reference Facebook group for splitboarding in Italy: routes, gear, conditions and safety in snow-covered terrain. It is a public group, running for over ten years, with around two and a half thousand members.

A niche group, on a seasonal rhythm

Splitboarding is strictly a winter activity, and the group reflects that: the feed comes alive when there is snow to climb and stays very quiet through the warm months. That is not a sign of abandonment, it is the natural cycle of the discipline.

With a membership this specialised, it remains the right place to ask about a route, a binding or a boot — questions that in a generalist group would get approximate answers.

There is also a dedicated buy-and-sell section, particularly useful for equipment that is expensive new and rarely displayed in shops.
