RLZ ASD
Join the community →RLZ ASD — which also trades as RLZ Snowfun — is an amateur sports association based in Morazzone, in the province of Varese, running group trips to the snow.
It is among the more concrete Italian outfits in that it publishes a real calendar, with dates, destinations and a meeting point, rather than vague announcements. Each season’s calendar comes out before winter.
Destinations regularly cross the border: recurring ones include La Thuile and Monterosa in Italy, San Bernardino and the Aletsch Arena in Switzerland.
How it works
Departures are by coach from Piazzale Bulferetti in Varese, the ATS car park on via Ottorino Rossi, meeting and leaving early in the morning.
Membership is compulsory to take part, at a few euros, paid through the members’ portal before you can book anything. A non-competitive medical certificate is also required. This is not an open group you can join on the day, and it is worth knowing that in advance.
The booking and the skipass are paid together, online, by card or PayPal. Cancelling before the deadline given for each individual trip recovers part of the fee; after it, there is no refund.
